Translation:

In the house of the heart, minds gone like dogs begin to be driven around in circles. While grasping the pen my hand suddenly scraped the piece of paper. While writing a long “wa” I stopped. While taking the bottle once more I again tipped it up.

Lightly, the words jumping and agitated came out. However, when they landed on the paper, without being able to be put in order, they were inclined to tumble down. On my piece of paper the withered bamboo leaves that had become worn out and died had all scattered about.

I looked back at the window.

The aura of the moon was a shadowy iridescence.

While his hair was hanging loose and unkempt, silver strips of clouds, emerald strips of clouds followed from behind him. Stars like scattered popcorn were fluttering away in puffs. I looked at the papers. Like a mirage the papers were bright and glittering.

While again picking up a shirt I went outside. While the brilliant green night was welcoming, it embraced me.

(2)

I turned towards the peninsula. It was crowded at the Inya festival.

With many coloured lights lit upon the trees, if you looked from far [it looked like] jewelry fruits. The sound of the orchestra and the drums reverberated through the whole forest. I jostled and went from amongst people. From the pavilions where merchants were advertising their wares, the colours of the stream of lights were bright enough to dazzle the eyes. They were sparkling like bright lights. On the pavilion of cigarette advertisements, with the sound of signing, famous signers were melodious and very pleasant. Young women signers wearing glowingly bright shawls were boasting their beauty.
