Translation

[Therefore, because both governments were bad, since there was only the right to write about one of them, people who read the book] will think [that the remaining one is a good government], will they not?

If there is only permission to write about one of the two bad governments, because of the possibility that the intention will go amiss, would it be worse to write about neither of the two?

There is an item that we cannot deny. It cannot be denied that the country suffered because, under the rule of civilian government, the government leaders holding power were intoxicated with power, misused power, and finally engaged in petty internecine fighting and fought like enemies. Therefore, I admit that with whatever the intention was, whatever effect it had, Guardian U Sein Win's Split Story is a book that everyone should read.

We have a wish. More than [a wish for] a civilian government, we have a wish that the hideous stories of the famous living journalist Guardian U Sein Win will not come again, no matter how much goodwill there was in the practice of power and division of power of the soldiers and generals of the the rule of U Ne Win's one party dictatorship and the subsequent the military government that caused the country to suffer.

We always hope that the winner of the Golden Pen prize from a general newspaper publishers federation [World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers] based in Paris, France, the famous journalist Guardian U Sein Win who is a person with the ability to meticulously write stories of the split of the civilian government will certainly continue writing further split story books of the continuing military government in a manner befitting a person who works in the media.
