Translation:
Ko Lu Dote raised his eyebrows indicating his intention to possess the ring.
"Oh! I see. I'll take this little ring and quietly send it to Ko Mone. It's alright. It's settled. If I sell this ring Ko Mone, will be able to get at least three kyats. I'll send it in a way that he won't know that I sent it. Yeah, that's it."
He advanced near to his daughter and grabbed her little hand. He saw that the ring suited the little arms that were quite slim and to stared at the ring without removing it.
When Mya Nyunt awoke at the time that the morning sun shone she did not see her father nearby.
When she dried her face after having washed it, she saw that the ring had disappeared. She shook the little blankets and looked for it. She did not see it.
The pillow that was black with layers of grime was repeatedly moved this way and that way and Mya Nyunt searched. She did not find it. She looked over the whole floor. She did not find it. Then while she shook and woke her mother with her hand she complained: "Mother! Mother! My ring has disappeared."
Ma Sint stood up suddenly like the standing up of a 'Tumbling Kelly' figurine and rubbed her eyes with her hand.
"What is it? The ring has disappeared?"
"Yes."
"Hey, Kyaw Yin. Get up."
Mya Nyunt shook Kyaw Yin awake.
Although Kyaw Yin shouted "Ah, who is it? Go away. Don't wake me," Mya Nyunt stubbornly woke him up.
"Ah, what is it?"
"My ring has disappeared. Did you take it?"
