Translation:

The Myanmar king and Pinya Kyan Taw who was appointed in Malone City to the rear was staying firmly. He heard all about the routing of the Lord Ye-min-hla-nge's [forces] which had marched to Taungoo and he sent Thado Min Hla Shwe Taung back again and if he was unable to get this matter, then he would not be allowed [?] to return to Ava City. In the area where Thado Min was, the Patanago Army joined with as many troops as Thado Min Hla Shwe Taung [and] Lord Ye-min-hla-nge had managed to assemble. At that time Pinya Kyan Taw who was staying in Malone City whenever he happened to compete with the Talaings [Mons] he fought swiftly and excellently. When the commanders and unit heads were afraid of Pinya Kyan Taw, [since they did] not want the people [civil servants?] to each suffer loss, the one who was made a soldier and the military leaders consulted and planed with Aga Hmu Gaza Kyaw head of Thado Min to execute Pinya Kyan Taw. When the high official Saw Bya heard about Pinya Kyan Taw not being present in the Malone Army he marched [via] land route [and] water route and fought. The Malone Army [and] Patamanago Army were destroyed. As for the army unit leaders and commanders and Thado Min Gaung, they retreated up to Bagan Nyaung Oo. General Saw Bya's Gwe [Kayin and] Talaing [Mon] Army took prisoners-of-war and stayed in Malone Patanago.

In the year 1107 of the Myanmar era [1745/46 C.E.] the Gwe [Kayin] commander Saw Bya ascended up to White Elephant Island and when he captured and killed prisoners of war along the whole length of the river on the east side and the west side, they could not do anything. And they could not find rice rations. And with rations not arriving from the Hanthawaddy capital, as for the soldiers, with many [of them], when the food was scarce and they suffered from hunger, "Now I will withdraw my army and the commanders and military leaders will follow after with Thado Min Gaung who retreats. When they follow like that, we will retreat and have ကရဲကသီ." He spoke so that [they] would not follow after and when the Talaing [Mon] commanders had consulted together with commander Saw Bya, they continued talking to Thado Min Gaung [of] the Nyaung Oo Army.

Elephant-Tiger Master-of-Life Min Taya Gyi who was [in] the government [said] "I [am] the military commander Lord Min Taya who dares to make obeisance to the Great Hanthawaddy Country [???]. It is no other [than] the Uncle Prince of Bagan. Because they have competed while not competing in war, it came to the destruction of the villagers who lived in the country. The speech of the two brother kings who were just like being blood relatives was about being at peace. Paying obeisance, feeling pity [he said] lord," [and these words] were sent in a letter to the Nyaung Oo Army. When he heard the words of Commander Saw Bya, and the Talaing [Mon] commander, Thado Min Gaung replied by letter Lord of Life Min Taya Gyi Paya, Uncle Thado Min Gaung has an order. In the letter was included about the military commander together with the Hanthawaddy commander, he who has made king in Hanthawaddy is no other, [he] is a blood relative.
