U Thuzana and Thu Mwe Hta (1)

The third day after the full moon in the month of Dazaunmon

At Ei-hsa-thaja Hnit-tet ("Twice-fulfilled-desire") Monastery.

It was the time starting after the Monks had finished eating their day-time meal.

There were quite a lot of people such as monastic patrons from Thaw Ley Hta, monastic patrons from Thu Mwe Hta, Thai journalists who had arrived from Thailand and monastic patrons who had arrived from the nearby mountains. They were speaking about four types of things.

They were talking about the Manerplaw monastic meeting, about the fact that the Myaing Gyi Ngoo Sayadaw had not yet returned, about how a Nun named Daw Wannasari and young mountain Karen nuns who had exerted effort were driven away, and about how because a hermit had been driven away the Myaing Gyi Ngoo Sayadaw had had to go to Papun.

At that time one patron arrived exhausted at the monastery. It appeared as though he had come from a long journey. His whole body was perspiring. His whole face was flushed. Trickling down from the hair at his temples...
