U Thuzana and Thu Mwe Hta (8)

Translation:

Bo Kyaw Than arrived not many days after U Sandawbatha and the monks had returned to Myaing Gyi Ngoo. During that time the Sayadaw was not receiving people. If [a person] wanted to meet [with the Sayadaw, then that person] would have to inform [the Sayadaw]. U Sandawbatha went to where the Sayadaw was and spoke [to him].

"Bo Kyaw Than said that he wants to meet with Grandfather monk [you], lord."

"Is that Bo Than Kyaw who received the rank of deputy?"

"That is correct, lord."

"Now, where is he?"

"He is waiting in the U Gyi Sein rest house in the guava orchard, lord."

"Yes, yes... [I] will come."

The Sayadaw went to the U Gyi Sein rest house. He saw Bo Kyaw Than, Bo Ka-let, Bo Leh-shi and another person in the back who were waiting.

With the approach of the Sayadaw they welcomed him and paid their respects. After the final prostration they did not raise their heads. The four people together, not being able to speak a single word drew in a big breath and wept in sadness.

As the Sayadaw looked at them he was greatly astonished and looked in silence. They wept vigorously and when they were done Bo Kyaw Than spoke in words that were interrupted by the sound of his breath.

"Sayadaw, lord, we disciples cannot freely give the monastery that the senior monks built with greatly exertion, lord. We will return to get it and will hand it over to Sayadaw [you], lord."

"It cannot be, patron Kyaw Than. I have already transferred it all. Even the monks, all of them have been called back."

"Your disciple [I] hear you, lord."

"Therefore, it can no longer be, of course. Please relax, patron Kyaw Than. Lord [Buddha] preached: "akawdayna zinay kawdan", [meaning: "A person who has] the moral principle of tolerating an angry person, will be successful."
